When is ‘The Plot to kill Holly Willoughby’ on TV?
‘The Plot to Kill Holly Willoughby’ will be on 5 at 9pm on Thursday 1 May, it was confirmed today.
In this gripping 90-minute documentary, the disturbing story of Gavin Plumb unfolds—a 37-year-old man who, in July 2024, was convicted for plotting the kidnap, rape, and murder of television presenter Holly Willoughby.
Over nearly ten years, Plumb developed a dangerous and obsessive fixation, stockpiling tens of thousands of images, tracking her movements, investigating her home and security, and even enlisting others who shared his twisted fantasies.
The film delves deep into the case, exposing the chilling reality through Plumb’s own words and drawing on expert analysis from specialists in criminal psychology and stalking. It paints a harrowing picture of a pathological obsession, magnified by online extremism and driven by a profound misogynistic hatred.
The ordeal came at the end of a troubling spell for ITV’s former golden-girl Holly, who ended up stepping down from her lucrative role fronting This Morning.
