When is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on Sky Cinema?
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is coming to Sky Cinema premieres on Friday 16 May.
Oscar-nominated visionary Tim Burton and Oscar nominee Michael Keaton reunite for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the highly anticipated follow-up to Burton’s acclaimed classic Beetlejuice.
Keaton reprises his iconic role, joined once again by Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Little Women) as Lydia Deetz and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt$ Creek, The Nightmare Before Christmas) as Delia Deetz. They’re joined by new cast members Justin Theroux (Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, The Leftovers), Monica Bellucci (Spectre, The Matrix series), and Arthur Conti (House of the Dragon) in his feature film debut. Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI) steps in as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, alongside Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (Poor Things, At Eternity’s Gate).
After an unforeseen family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family find themselves back in Winter River. Still grappling with the lingering presence of Beetlejuice, Lydia’s world is upended when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, stumbles upon the mysterious model of their town hidden in the attic — inadvertently reopening the portal to the Afterlife. With chaos looming in both the living and spirit realms, it’s only a matter of time before someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times, unleashing the mischievous demon once again.
Tim Burton, a genre-defining filmmaker, directs from a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Wednesday), based on a story by Gough, Millar, and Seth Grahame-Smith (The LEGO® Batman Movie), and inspired by characters created by Michael McDowell & Larry Wilson. The film is produced by Marc Toberoff, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tommy Harper, and Burton himself, with Sara Desmond, Katterli Frauenfelder, Gough, Millar, Brad Pitt, Larry Wilson, Laurence Senelick, Pete Chiappetta, Andrew Lary, Anthony Tittanegro, Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg serving as executive producers.
Burton’s trusted creative team behind the scenes includes director of photography Haris Zambarloukos (Meg 2: The Trench, Murder on the Orient Express); production designer Mark Scruton (Wednesday); editor Jay Prychidny (Wednesday); Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sleepy Hollow); Oscar-winning special makeup and creature effects supervisor Neal Scanlan (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory); Oscar-nominated composer Danny Elfman (Big Fish, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman); and Oscar-winning hair and makeup designer Christine Blundell (Topsy-Turvy).
