What is Tom Hardy’s new film ‘HAVOC’ about?
Tom Hardy’s dark new thriller ‘HAVOC’ is coming to Netflix this Friday, 25 April. So what’s it about?
Netflix say: “The high-octane film follows Walker (Hardy), a bruised detective fighting his way through a criminal underworld that threatens to engulf his city. After a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with several factions on his tail, including a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, and his fellow cops.
While attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, Walker is forced to confront the demons of his past”
Early reviews have been highly positive, with one critic writing that the film “rips so hard” whilst another calls it “Muscular filmmaking at its finest“.
Speaking about his character, Tom told CineXpress “He can’t get passed a problem and his way of sorting it out is by causing more… causing more of the thing that is causing him harm!”
HAVOC is written and directed by Gareth Evans (The Raid, Gangs of London), who also produces alongside Hardy, Ed Talfan, and Aram Tertzakian.
Stream HAVOC on Netflix from this Friday, 25 April.
