Britain’s Got Talent returns with huge ratings for ITV

More than 5 million watched last night

Britain’s Got Talent returned last night with ITV’s biggest average overnight audience of the year.

Launching with a peak of 5.5 million viewers/42% share and averaging 4.6 million viewers/34% share across the show, it is also the biggest entertainment show of the year on any channel, based on overnight data.

ITV also scored the biggest peak audience of the night on any channel, with an audience peak of 5.8 million viewers/39% share watching the coverage of England v Scotland in the Six Nations.

Overnight ratings for The 1% Club also continue to rise, with an average of 4 million viewers last night across the show/a 34% share of viewing, with an audience peak of 4.4million viewers, based on overnights.
