New channel ITV Quiz to launch as ITVBe shuts down.
ITV is axing lifestyle channel 'ITVBe' in June, to be replaced by ITV Quiz.
ITVBe will be retired in June 2025. Its channel slot will be rebranded as ITV Quiz, focusing on ITV’s top-performing quiz and game shows — building on the success of ITVX FAST channels and the network’s market-leading quiz formats.
Starting June 2025, ITV2 will officially become the linear home of ITV’s biggest reality franchises, as The Only Way is Essex, The Real Housewives of Cheshire, and international Real Housewives series move from ITVBe to ITV2 — the UK’s most-watched digital channel among 16-34s.
TOWIE and RHOCH will join a powerhouse lineup of returning favourites, including Love Island and Big Brother, alongside exciting new commissions airing throughout the rest of 2025. All content will also continue to stream on ITVX.
ITV2’s reality-rich schedule will be bolstered by hit animated comedies like Family Guy, original series such as G’Wed and Transaction, blockbuster films, and factual entertainment aimed at younger audiences — including Olivia Attwood’s Price of Perfection, a consistent performer on ITVX.
This summer and autumn will see the return of both Love Island and Big Brother, along with the second series of Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends, following its much-discussed debut in 2024. The Only Way Is Essex will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a special autumn series — marking a homecoming, as the show originally launched its first 12 seasons on ITV2.
Reality content continues to drive major engagement across ITV2 and ITVX: Love Island and its spin-offs have racked up 2.2 billion streams, Big Brother over 100 million since joining ITV in 2023, and TOWIE remains one of ITVX’s top-performing titles with 66 million streams in the past year alone.
ITV2 remains the go-to digital channel for 16-34 year olds. In 2024, Love Island reached over 400 episodes as the most popular series for this demographic. In early 2025, ITV2 overtook Channel 4 among 16-34s, solidifying its place at the top.
Among upcoming commissions is Sam & Billie: Sister Act (produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios), reuniting Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd. The show marks Sam’s TV return after stepping away from The Mummy Diaries in 2021. Billie continued the franchise with The Family Diaries until 2024, and now the sisters will share their personal and professional journeys as they enter new chapters in motherhood and career.
