Doctor Who star confirmed for The Jonathan Ross Show

Jodie Whittaker confirmed to appear on 8 March

Former Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker will appear on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday 8 March, it has been confirmed.

The actress will be on the show to discuss ‘Toxic Town’, the new Netflix drama which critics say is Jodie’s “best work”.

Written and created by Jack Thorne (Wonder, Joy), Toxic Town is based on the true story of the Corby poisonings. The 2009 lawsuit at the heart of the story saw mothers from Corby, led by Susan McIntyre (played by Jodie Whittaker), come together to challenge the borough’s council over the mismanagement of toxic waste that caused disabilities in their children.

It was a hard-fought battle for recognition and compensation for their children, one that the cast and crew of Toxic Town aimed to honour with their detailed portrayal of the events.

Toxic Town is streaming now on Netflix.
