Channel 4 announces innovative new game show ‘The Snake’

Channel 4 has commissioned six episodes of The Snake, an innovative new game show format from Strong Watch Studios, set to air on Channel 4.0. Blending a high-stakes quiz with cunning strategy, the twist lies in the fact that sometimes, giving the wrong answer is the key to winning.

Each episode begins with six creators sharing a prize pot of £5,000. To keep the cash, they must collectively tackle a series of tough multiple-choice questions. But not everyone is playing fair — hidden among them are two secret ‘Snakes’, whose mission is to subtly sabotage the group and steer them toward incorrect answers. For every question answered incorrectly, money is siphoned from the prize pot and added to the Snakes’ potential winnings.

As the game progresses, the remaining players — known as ‘Investigators’ — must sniff out and eliminate the Snakes. If both saboteurs are successfully unmasked, the prize pot is split among the honest contestants and the Investigators. But if the Snakes remain undetected, they slither away with the cash.

The first season features a star-studded lineup including Adeola Patronne, Chloe Burrows, Danny Aarons, Harry Pinero, Mariam Musa, Zeze Millz, Ava Hirons, Darkest Man, Eman SV2, Max Fosh, PK Humble, Whitney Adebayo, Expressions, Konan, and Tyrique Hyde.
