The BBC has announced a Chris McCausland documentary, called ‘Seeing Into the Future’.

He’s made people laugh, danced his way to victory, and fronted his own TV shows — but Chris’s true passion lies in technology. Living with retinitis pigmentosa, a condition that gradually stole his sight from birth and left him blind by his early twenties, Chris has developed a unique relationship with tech. While gadgets like smartphones and voice-activated assistants are convenient tools for most, they’ve been revolutionary for him.

Chris says: “I’ve always been a tech nerd, and now I can’t wait to finally get to count this indulgence as work. I’m going to love trying out the latest gadgets and gismos before anybody else can. I’m also going to try and make friends with some robots, because it probably won’t be long until they’re in charge of us all.”

A self-confessed tech enthusiast with a background in software engineering, Chris is always eager to get his hands on the latest innovations. From AI and autonomous vehicles to robotics and next-gen smart glasses, he’s on a mission to discover the game-changing tech of tomorrow. In this insightful and humorous documentary, Chris travels across the UK and heads to Silicon Valley to find out how the future of technology could once again reshape his world.

The documentary will air later this year.
