Sky has released the first teaser and first-look images for Crystal Lake, the upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series, confirming the highly anticipated horror drama will premiere exclusively on Sky and NOW in the UK and Ireland this October.

Fans have been given their first glimpse of Crystal Lake, the new television expansion of the legendary Friday the 13th universe, with Sky unveiling an official teaser and a selection of first-look images ahead of its October launch.
The eight-part series stars Emmy Award nominee Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, DTF St. Louis) as Pam Voorhees, the mother of Jason Voorhees, whose tragic backstory has become one of horror’s most iconic origin stories.
Set before the events of the classic slasher films, Crystal Lake follows Pam as she struggles to cope with the devastating loss of her young son, Jason, who drowned in the town’s lake almost a year earlier. Her grief is reignited when two strangers arrive asking questions about her past, triggering a series of unsettling events that leave the residents of Crystal Lake questioning who Pam Voorhees really is.
Alongside Cardellini, the cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. The series promises to expand the mythology of the long-running horror franchise, combining psychological suspense, mystery and emotional drama while remaining rooted in the legacy that made Friday the 13th a global phenomenon.

Kane serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer on the series. The executive production team also includes Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox and Roy Lee. The series is produced by A24 and was acquired for Sky in the UK and Ireland by Katie Keenan, Group Director of Acquisitions, and Facundo Bailez, Head of Acquisitions.
Crystal Lake premieres exclusively on Sky and streaming service NOW in October 2026.
