Brandon Flowers tops the bill on tonight’s TFI Unplugged, as Chris Evans welcomes the Killers frontman for a new interview alongside guests Brian Cox and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, while viewers will also be treated to classic archive interviews with Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet.
The latest episode airs on Channel 4 at 11.05pm, continuing the successful revival of the much-loved TFI brand, which has found fresh life through its relaxed mix of celebrity interviews, music and entertainment.
Originally developed from Chris Evans’ work with Virgin Radio, TFI Unplugged has evolved into a companion television series that combines brand-new interviews with memorable moments from Evans’ extensive archive. The format gives audiences a mix of current conversations and classic celebrity encounters, celebrating some of the biggest names from film, television and music.
Tonight’s headline guest, Brandon Flowers, appears ahead of the release of his forthcoming solo album, Thrasher, which is set to arrive later this summer. The record marks his first new solo studio album in more than a decade and sees the singer exploring a more reflective and personal sound while maintaining the anthemic songwriting that has defined his career.
Flowers has enjoyed enormous success both as frontman of The Killers and as a solo artist. With The Killers, he has sold millions of albums worldwide and helped create some of the defining rock songs of the 21st century, including Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, Human, Read My Mind and When You Were Young. His solo work has also been widely praised, with previous albums Flamingo and The Desired Effect showcasing a more intimate, Americana-influenced style.
As well as discussing the new album, Flowers is expected to talk about his upcoming tour, which will see him perform songs from Thrasher alongside favourites from his solo catalogue.
Joining him in the studio is physicist and broadcaster Brian Cox, while Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson also appears. Completing the line-up are specially selected archive interviews with Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet, offering viewers a chance to revisit two memorable conversations from Chris Evans’ extensive collection of celebrity interviews.
Since launching, TFI Unplugged has become one of Channel 4’s standout late-night entertainment programmes, successfully blending fresh interviews, live performances and nostalgic moments from the TFI archives. Its combination of contemporary guests and classic television moments has helped introduce the format to a new audience while delighting fans of the original series.
