Following a breakout first season that became one of Paramount+’s biggest original series, MobLand is returning this fall with even higher stakes. Blending Guy Ritchie’s signature style with a powerhouse cast led by Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, the crime thriller quickly established itself as one of the streaming service’s most talked-about dramas thanks to its explosive violence, razor-sharp dialogue and shocking twists.

The show’s combination of gangster intrigue, family betrayal and prestige casting helped it attract a global audience, while critics and viewers praised Hardy’s performance as fixer Harry Da Souza and the deliciously ruthless chemistry between Brosnan and Mirren as crime bosses Conrad and Maeve Harrigan. That success paved the way for a second season, with Paramount+ wasting little time in bringing the series back.

First-look images tease another violent chapter
Alongside the teaser trailer, Paramount+ released several new images from Season 2.
The photos showcase Helen Mirren’s commanding Maeve Harrigan, Tom Hardy’s battle-worn Harry Da Souza, Pierce Brosnan’s imprisoned yet defiant Conrad Harrigan and Paddy Considine’s Kevin Harrigan as tensions continue to rise within the family.
The first-look stills hint that imprisonment has done little to diminish Conrad and Maeve’s influence, while Harry appears to be carrying the weight of yet another increasingly dangerous assignment.
Where Season 1 left off
The Season 1 finale delivered one of television’s bloodiest gangland showdowns.
Harry eliminated longtime rival Richie Stevenson and exposed the mole inside the Harrigan operation, triggering a brutal firefight that left multiple members of both criminal organisations dead.
Although the Harrigans survived the attack, the victory came at a cost. Harry’s trusted ally Kiko was killed during the assault, while Harry himself ended the finale with a knife lodged in his chest after his wife Jan accidentally stabbed him during a heated confrontation over their collapsing marriage.
Elsewhere, Conrad and Maeve found themselves behind bars after being framed with planted evidence. Despite their imprisonment, neither appeared remotely defeated. Instead, both remained convinced they could continue manipulating events from inside prison.
Perhaps the biggest revelation came when Maeve disclosed that Eddie’s true father is Conrad rather than the man Eddie believed had raised him, creating another explosive fracture within the Harrigan family.
Those betrayals, shifting alliances and unanswered questions leave Season 2 with plenty of storylines to explore when MobLand returns on Sept. 18, exclusively on Paramount+
